Hello, my wonderful readers,
Hydration is the key to good, glowing skin. so many people think hydration is drinking water, no it means so much more. simply drinking water isn’t enough, there is a right way and proper form of hydration our body and skin requires. Continue reading to know more about natural ways in which you can keep your skin hydrated naturally.
1 – Chai Seeds Infused Water – Hydration is the key, no matter what skin concern you have – water solves almost all skin problems. Our human body is made up of over 70% water and skin is the largest gland of the body, water is essential for so many things like flow, balance, cleansing in the body. This is one of the important aspects of the Summer skincare routine.
Adding chia seeds to normal water just adds 10x the benefits as chia seeds are a rich source of antioxidants, fibre, protein, good fats, magnesium, phosphorous, manganese, etc.
Chia seed is often called a ‘Superfood’ as it helps in improving digestion, aids in weight loss, inflammation and is great for heart and bone health and so much more.
You can simply add chia seeds to lukewarm water and let it sit for few mins before drinking it.
2 – Aloe vera – Aloe vera is a truly versatile and magical ingredient, it can get rid of all your skin issues and works on all skin types. It is like a superhero for skin and hair. Aloe vera can be used directly from the plant or if you are lazy and clumsy like me, you can use Aloe vera gel available in the market.
I love using Deyga Aloe vera gel, I have already emptied one tub and onto the second one now. I use it as an overnight mask by applying the gel on my face at night and washing it off in the morning, ah! It instantly softens, nourishes and deeply hydrates my skin. I even use it on my dry, rough areas like the elbow, knee to smoothen and moisturise the skin.
Deyga is my favourite for so many reasons – Natural and pure made of Aloe Barbadensis (cold-pressed) Aloe vera extract, aloe hydrosol, handcrafted, cruelty-free – free of harmful parabens, chemicals, No added artificial fragrances, Made in India. So many reasons to love, definitely try it. The Summer hydration kit works best for skin hydration.
3 – Rose toner/mist – Skin feels dull, tired, dehydrated with all the dust, pollution, dirt, sweat, humidity. It needs a boost of hydration now and then, Rosewater is perfect for the instant refreshing feeling and it also adds to your natural glow. This is one of the best and natural skincare products in India.
Rose has a powerful calming and relaxing effect, it retains the natural pH balance of the skin. It even uplifts your mood so, next time when your skin feels dull, just spritz some rose water and rejuvenate your skin. The best choice for hydrated skin.
4 – Water-rich foods – Food is another important element and what we eat, directly shows up on our skin. If your body is dehydrated, the skin will never look fresh and as they say healthy gut = healthy skin. Drinking water is just not enough, you also need to load up on water-rich fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, watermelons, melons, oranges, etc. It helps in hydration, boosts nutrition and has lots of health benefits so, try to include them in your diet as and when possible.
5 – Make SPF your BFF – I can’t stress this enough, as much as the sun’s rays are good, excessive and harsh sunlight can be harmful and lead to skin ageing, cancer, fine lines, pigmentation, sunburn and even lead to cancer. So, it is very important to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day, no matter the weather or if you are staying indoors. There are two different types of sunscreen available – physical and chemical variants but make sure whichever you choose has min. SPF 30+ UVA, UVB, PA+ protection.
A good sunscreen really helps in shielding your skin and helps in retaining hydration. So, make sure to always use one. Well, you can try out the Deyga summer hydration combo – Aloe vera + Sunscreen
It is an absolute must-have product, get it and thank me later!
